I wasnt sure where to post this but I was just wondering, since the P18x series is aiming for silence and thats what I am trying to get, will the fan on the 8800GTS be noticeable?
 
Even with the Tricools maxxed, it is still possible to hear when the 8800 fan goes to 100% from a lower setting. If you leave the 8800 fan at ~60%, you probably won't notice it.
 
Yeah, I suggest getting Rivatuner and manually adjusting your fan speed to about 75%. That will keep your card plenty cool bearing that you have good airflow. I keep mine at 75% and the noise is barely audible(I'm a silence junkie), while 80% is. Every case is different though, you can probably get away with 80%.

Just be sure to watch your temps while you are doing your manual adjusting and find that Goldilox(sp?) spot that works for your setup, and your ears.
 
i have the 180b and my gtx fan just hit 100% for the first time yesterday, and boy did i notice that. though to be fair all my fans are on low and my room is kind of quite so any change is noticeable.
