I was planning to Step up to an 8800GT from my 8800GTS 320 this weekend and I kinda wanted to get the KO or the SSC edition, but it wasn't an option on eVGA's site. They only had the 8800GT. Is that my only option? I would prefer to have it pre-overclocked. What's the deal?

Pre-OCed isn't anything special, you can OC them yourself very easily in a few seconds.

And to answer your other question, EVGA only allows step-up to standard editions.

Yup, I even asked on their forums.

We only offer reference models for stepup at this moment per the stepup terms "EGS" just means that its a reference clocked card.

Any chance you can help fellow [H] folks get a bump in the queue line? :D

File that one under "wishful thinking" :). And then chill out and game with your current card until your number comes up. Think of it this way - at least EVGA doesn't ask for cards while you wait in the queue.
