8800gt sli crysis problem

OK i am only pulling 20fps avg in crysis on the mainstream with no AA.
It is just stupid!
is there something wrong here????

I have sli'd 8800gt with an e8400, evga sli ftw motherboard. 4gb cas-4 ram. and vista ultimate.

Why in the world am I not able to play at higher settings.

When i run the optimize that is in the game, it sets me to gamer and leaves my AA at 16xQ, which is what i thought i should be able to run at, well the game get about 1 frame per 10 mins like that. so maybe the optimize doesn't mess with the AA settings, well ok.

but I can't really play with gamer on and no AA this is crazy, I have a friend with a single 4850 1GB and he can play at higher settings with better fps!

I thought this was an nvidia game and sli helped, it doesn't seem to be!
It does seem to use both my cards, because the temps of the card remain about the same, and if a game only uses one I normally see a noticable difference in temps.

Can someone please tell me if there is something I can do to fix this, or if it is the game, or if the 8800gt sli'd isn't enough for some reason??

Can anyone help me with this problem??

Also this is the new Crysis: Warhead, sorry I didn't specify that.

Anyone have any ideas?

are you sure SLi is enabled? what is your postprocessing setting set to? what driver revision are youusing? do you properly remove old drivers (uninstall/reg clean, or use drivercleaner, or something similar) before installing new ones? how old is this install of your OS? are other games giving you issues in SLi mode? what resolution are you running?

I just fixed it today, I'm not sure what happened, I just disabled sli and re-enabled it.
After that I am able to run at good settings :D

to answer you questions tho;
yes it was enabled
didn't check the postprocessing settings.
newest just released a few days ago, maybe last week.
only one before but no i didn't use a removable tool, I just used the control panel to download the new driver.
just installed windows vista ultimate 64-bit about 2 weeks ago.
Unreal Tournament 3 is running great.
