I've noticed that DX10 is showing my video memory to be 2 GB (Instead of 512MB). Any idea why is it showing that? All other applications I've checked are correctly displaying 512 video memory.

Totally normal.

In Windows Vista and DX10, your system memory and video memory are 'shared' in such a way that your system memory can be used for 3D rendering if it's ever needed.

Well, I have 4GB of RAM installed (technically 3.5GB in Vista32), why is it only using/seeing 2GB of it? Is there an option where you can control such an amount?

It wont get close to using the 2gb as it is, dont worry about it. I doubt you will even max out the 512mb.

Not worried, just asking that's all. :)

I remember a similar option in my old computer's BIOS where it would share video and system memory, it was called "AGP Aperture size". Seems Vista/DX10 have a similar option like that.

I have 8gb of ram and my 8800gt shows 3gb total memory in windows x64.
