I was wondering if anyone here knows if Shuttle has found a fix for the 8800GT to work on the SN25P. Been eying the Galaxy 8800GT 512MB since it's down to $168.88 CAD!

Short answer: no.

Long answer: in order to get it to work you have to plug the power cable to the card after you turn on the PC. AMD's 3850 and 3870 work however.

Sucks. I already have an HD3850 in my SN25P. Was kinda hoping to get a little more kick out of it. My I'll have to check out the 9600GT.

Is this related to the power sentinel problem which causes the board to be seriously downclocked making it virtually useless, or something else?

If it's the power sentinel thing, nvidia released new drivers a few days ago, 169.44. These are supposed to eliminate the problem.
