Ok as my friend lives 400 miles away I was doing the help thing on the phone.
(Vonayge is great)
Ok he then tells me he has a problem anyway with old nortons and registry stuff
so off to msconfig we go and walla...The card works.

Great news..

Anyway I recommended a fresh install and then just use avast(which I have no issues with)
or whatever antispyware he decides.
So he is buying a p5n32 e sli and a c2d ? and ram.
