are you sure it's the vid card?
have you switched monitors to see if that error persists?

Of course, plus changed cables. It has been sporadic in the past, but now has become constant.

EVGA sent me a DOA with the RMA and the customer support Rep Matthew Peterson told me that I will have to send in my original to complete the cross shipment and deal with the DOA one until the RMA for that one arrives. He told me that I can use my old one, but I will be charged for the DOA one if I don't complete it, I told him I don't want to send in a card that at least works half the time for one that doesn't and wait for a replacement. He told me that was my choice, but I would be charged for the card.
He had that smart ass attitude, so this is the great EVGA customer support I hear about.
He told me they don't send out DOAs as they test them before hand and that if I keep getting them then I should look elsewhere for the problem, implying my hardware.
I really don't know why I buy them, I had 2 7900 KIA a few months after getting them, some what do dual monitors, I have a 9600 for my wifes that causes blue screens.

Well, I found out that it only works on analog and not DVI. That is a picture from my camera when it first started up. As it will flash on the screen with DVI what is shown in the picture then it just goes to sleep.
Using VGA it works. So not technically DOA, but not 100% working either since it does not work ON DVI. Already started the RMA process for this one I guess.

Try another DVI cable.
Failing that, try a different PSU.

Well, if you read the beginning of the thread the original GPU was having problems on DVI 1 and DVI 2 was fine. Then on the Replacement GPU DVI 1 works and DVI 2 has issues, so how can it be the cable my friend?? Anyways, DVI 2 will only work in analog mode, I used a VGA cable to my monitor instead and it works some what I appear to be having some faint double vision. (If there was a large black "T" on the screen next to it will be a faint ghost letter "T", I have ruled out the monitor as I have before. Sooooo it is a bad card.
Given the current information I don't see how trying a different PSU will help as its unrelated and I test it regularly.

I'm not trying to be a dick, just was expecting a bit more than just novice troubleshooting tips.
I have attached an image of the ghosting issue with lines and such; I swapped monitor on DVI 2 and it appeared on it as well, so it is not a monitor, cable issue, it is a crap GPU and I have sent the images to EVGA.
Sorry again for the camera crappiness.

are you using vga? thats a problem with vga at a high res.
Thanks, I had forgotten that. Sadly VGA is the only way I can get channel 2 to actually work, hopefully I get my second replacement soon so I can go back to DVI.
The main issue is the image in post #9, the blue lines on DVI and the constant signal outages.
