The EVGA GeForce 8600 GTS 512MB Superclocked offers up twice as much memory, but does not deliver any improvements to the gameplay experience. The GPU is not powerful enough to take advantage of the extra memory in today’s games and the “Superclocked” frequencies are entirely underwhelming. Simply put, the price is too high for what you get in return. You would be much better off with other EVGA products that compete at the same performance level
