So traditionally they run these like 46.99 and free shipping, so you could get some backup cards for cheap AR.

I would say the 8400GS for $13.50 w/FS on eBay would be a better backup card (especially for the money).

Don't really think you can get much Folding on either but I'm not sure about the 8600.

The 8400 on ebay wont fold. The 8600 here should get between 1450-1600ppd due to the pixel piplines (32), which are half a 9600gt.

Be warned too that the tiny little fan on there can VERY EASILY get clogged, stop spinning, and fry your card (little experience with a XFX 8600GT doing just that) in the middle of a WU...
