850W PSU

Love the first line:

850W continuous and 950W peak power

SO its really a 950W PSU!!!!!!! Too bad I need 1.21gigawatts (or jiggawatts as Doc would say) to power my flux capacitor..

And its PCP&C, so you know it will deliver on its rating...why don't they list MSRP though? :p

it looks much longer than a standard atx psu...hmm if i did 2 512mb 6800u's or better, 4 hard drives all 250gb, dual core x2, 2 120mm case fans, and 1 80mm case fan, a rheobus, 2 cold cathodes, 2 optical drives, an audigy 2 card...i still would have room to spare

yeah it's an EATX form factor, if your case is about 18 -20 inches deep I doubt you will have a problem installing it. I took a tape measure to my minitower ATX case the other day, it's 16 inches deep :(

I would rather have 2x34 amp rails than 4x17's. Probably helps them get that tight voltage regulation, though.

It's EPS12V, it's got the 8 pin CPU connector (4 12V lines, 4 gnd).
Meant for dual CPU, dual graphics card setups.

Though with a little modding, add a second 24 pin ATX cable, I'm sure you could power two entire single cpu single graphics card systems off it... :)

Holy crap, that's, TOTALLY USELESS!
I think a 510 SLi is more than enough.

well...

consider the following
dual dualcores (about 20A or 240W)
dual PCI-E 150W cards (25A > 38A or 300 > 450W) > http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=22917
toss on say a 6 channel RAID

now it doesnt look so overkill anymore does it? :p

BTW its a split plane EPS12V each CPU gets its own +12V rail ;)
it really is for workstations

Remember though folks at that price it comes with lube and a shoe horn for proper insertion.

Holy crap, I would buy a new CPU, Motherboard, and RAM for that..

I called PC Power and Cooling directly and they quoted me $449.99. The girl on the phone said "They are $449.99 and due to high demand we are low on stock, however I can ship one to you right away!!"

I told her for $449.99 for a F*'ing PSU she'd better be able to.
