I want to upgrade the current ForceGT 64GB that I have on my server.
They are 2 in Raid1.

What would you advice me between Samsung 850 Pro 256GB vs SanDisk Extreme Pro 240GB ??

Ideas?
Which one is faster, more reliable, do both use same NAND type ??

Regards.

do both use same NAND type

Not exactly. Pro uses 3D NAND MLC at ~40nm which should have considerably higher write endurance.

Edit: With that said write endurance should not be a big issue on the deskop. Either should easily last 10+ years under normal desktop usage.

Samsung will be better, probably not noticeable to you though. Both are solid.

I assume you refered to 850 Pro right? that's the one with 40nm 3D NAND MLC?

You are right, there won't be too much writes on it, it will although be working 24/7/365.
Both the 128 and 256 models are same specs right?

I'd say go with which ever is cheaper as they are pretty comparable.
