Well a few months ago i got a asus 845p based mobo, no sli or anything, and a 505. Well the 505 has no hyper, a huge multi, and only 1 meg of cache. On the other hand it was only about a C note and oc'd to 3.7ghz (xp90). I was wondering if there is anything worth upgrading to. My ram is kinda in the tollet since i cant do even 200mhz bus with this huge multi. I was wondering what you guys thought about a 820 or a 630, or any 6xx thats gona do 4+ghz pretty easily using a xp90. I think thing 820's will do around 3.4ghz.

ps i have 667mhz ram.

You mean 945P right? The 845P is way back there ;). It depends on how much money you want to put into it. It seems like you found a good price/performance sweetspot right now, but some people like to tinker :D.

a 630 would give you Hyperthreading and probably hit 4Ghz on air easily with that XP-90

though it won't be that big of an increase since you're already at 3.7Ghz.

Besides the faster bus speed. BTW, you'll probably need to use a ratio on your ram, but don't worry the ratios are your friends for OC'ing! :)

Well the ram can run at 308mhz all day long, but my fsb is stuck at 185mhz. I cant turn down my multi with this chip (630 i can) so i dont know if boasting the fsb to 300 instead of 200 would help any. That and hyper and a extra meg of cach. Not sure if the 820 is a better choice, i guess if it did at least 3.2ghz i could use it for hd software decoding.
