80.40 Drivers Support H.264

I was over at nvnews and I noticed the 80.40 Beta drivers.

I am downloading them right now and going to try them out later today but they seem to have a lot of problems at the moment from what I have been reading.

But anyway It seems these drivers do support H.264 for the 7800 series card. Just wanted to point that out to all the people that have been complaining about the 7800 GTX not supporting H.264. A lot of people seem to be under the impression that R520 will be the only card with H.264.

Would someone with a 7800 series card be willing to try these out?

Some guys at nvnews are confirming that the drivers partially work.
Well, I can confirm the H.264 support is working somewhat. With the 77.72's trailers & music videos from Apple's HD Gallery would run extremely chopping pegged @ 100% cpu utilization. With these drivers, the cpu utilization now flucuates between 60% - 90% normally staying at 75% which makes the playback much better. Once the 80.xx series matures, it'll be perfect.

WMVHD cpu utilization is between 45% - 50% w/o Purevideo installed.

The various G70 models were the 7x.xx drivers for a while. The G72 (12 pipeline card) and C51 (new 6200-based IGP chipset) are more interesting. :p

And no one is mentioning the NV48 that appeared in the drivers a while ago. You know, the card that has been declared cancelled by theinq over and over? Fuad is such an idiot.
 
You guys should grab the Xtreme-G 80.40s, as they have more tweaks and options. You can get them at www.tweaksrus.com. I've had pretty good luck with the drivers so far.
