I am trying to decide whether i want to go with my new rocketfish or my thermaltake armor that i currently have. The problem is though, my 8 pin CPU power connector on my new thermaltake tough power is too short to reach BEHIND my motherboard and then to come back out and connect to the top left corner of the mobo. So an 12" cable just wont cut it because this is a bottom mounted PSU. The question is, does Thermaltake make any modular cables that are longer? I have seen some extension cables online but im not sure whether they are as good quality and could hamper my clean power coming from my PSU.

So the question is... should i get an extension and will it dirty my power or make it noticeably weaker? Right now this is pretty much the only thing keeping me from using the rocketfish atm.
 
I'm not sure exactly how it affects the power quality, but I have an Akasa 8-pin extension lead so that I can connect my 8-pin round the back of the motherboard tray myself. I expect that you can't avoid slightly increasing noise with more connectors and longer lengths of wire, but if the PSU is putting out a good DC line in the first place then I doubt it would noticeably degrade?

Thanks for the input. Do you think you could link me to that one??? Because i realllly dont want to buy a cheapo one off fleabay.

nevermind, found a decent one on eWIZ

Ah, good.. was going to say that I bought it in the UK, so probably not helpful!
