What's the deal with these?

I want to run the following setup and am concerned that running a 4-pin PSU instead of an 8-pin PSU will cause issues. I do not plan to overclock.

Setup:

Abit IP35-E
E6850 Core2Duo
2GB Kingston Value
ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT (with room to upgrade to a 7900GTX or 8600GT)
1 250GB Sata HDD
