Does 7zip check to ensure that the compress file matches the original with like a CRC check?

I use tera copy for everything now because i have seen depending HDD and how many files you transfer i get enough bad transfers i am paranoid.

I also have backups of 10s of millions of files due to how the back up program works so moving that library has a solid chance a few files flip. Hence why I use tera copy. I also want to archive to save space this library of files and not waste space with 7zip because snapraid has huge parity waste with millions of files.

So i am curious if i can trust 7zip with creating a library of 10s of millions of files without a bit flip.

7zip does a SHA CRC compare. Without using ECC memory or a filesystem that offers bit rot protections, 7zip is the least of your worries.
