7990 release date? 4GB 680 release date?

AMD has until the EVGA 4GB with waterblock model is out to fix their drivers.

Yeah I think when teh 4GB 680 comes out a lot of 7970 owners will jump ship. The 680 will be better in every way then especially with it's improved ability to handle high resolutions

Only problem is the 7990 will be priced extremely high just like all the new cards.

When the 7990 is released, that would be a good time to cut prices across the entire lineup.
Then, the 7990 can be introduced as the fastest single "card" on the planet. Anything more than $799, and they will have a challenge selling them.
Because I rather pay a little extra for two GTX 680s than $800-900 for a driver plagued 7990.

$700 would probably be a fair price for the 7990 given that it will probably be downclocked compared to the 7970, Id get one at that

when should we be expecting that to come out though in US? any guesses?

I highly doubt the 7990 will be priced at $700 unless we see some major price cuts across the board on the 7*** series. Even if the 7990 is two 7950s compared to two 7970s I can't imagine it'd be under $750-$800.

Just saw this; doesn't look like it will be a bargain-basement price--if it is for real--this is April 1st.

The original on TPU has a sort of April Fool's joke so thought this would be easier to access. Try TPU--you'll see what I mean.
