Just got my 7970's in now time to add them to the loop.
Wanted people's opinions on water block for them and way the hook up the crossfire bridge
"water bridge"

I was thinking Swiftech Komodo full cover X 2 with the
CrossFireX Bridges 3x (HD7900-XFIRE-X3 bridge)
because the spacing on my motherboard RIVE

Open to other idles like using Bitspower Crystal link to bridge or other block.

Rig specs in signature
Thank you

I like the Heatkiller block. Have one on my HD7950 and it works great.

Thanks for the replays did a bunch more reading last night and went of the bundymania report on the blocks for the 7970.
For the look I'm going for I like the swiftech one the come with the back plate and single io bracket also saw koolance on sell for 100 at performance pc.
Thank you

The Bundymania review listed the Heatkiller and the Aquacomputer as being the best over all.

The Swiftech has a unique clean look to it but it has weak flow rate compared to other water blocks and with multiple video card build this low flow rate is going to hurt it. It looks nice but I wouldn't recommend it for multiple video card configuration unless you have a multi pump design in mind. Be easier and wiser IMO to just get a better working block. Looks are important but function is greater IMO.

I fell that too now after more thinking and if i add a third card later flow will make more off a difference
so if i stack more Swiftech block flow would be even worse than just one .
I think i will go with the Heatkiller blocks and get the back plate powder coated to match my build (bling factor)
thank you for the advice SonDa5

Ended up not getting the cards do to amazon putting me on 30 days
but i was for the best buying 2 Msi lighting with water blocks on them from a member on here.
And only EK blocks for that model so EK it will be for me.
Thanks for all the good advice I'm learning a lot here on [H]ard
Good people on this forum!!!

If you're going EK, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT get the nickel plated one. Get all coper. I have personal experience (read bad) using the supposedly improved nickel plating process on a 7970 EK block.

+1, I agree with this statement, taken from personal experience as well

Not getting the ref cards any more because Amazon put me on 30 days. Will be getting Msi lightning 7970 with EK blocks on them and only EK makes the blocks for that card.
Got a killer deal so if they don't work out i can resell for the same if not more on ebay.
Hope I'm not in for a headache!!!

That sounds like you're in for a real treat when those area come in! You're going to love the performance, and all the more so since you got a killer deal :D

Guy refunded my money too new on here and no heatware yet. Just getting started here and nothing but problems for me and wasted time

There are any number of HD 7970 reference design GPUs on newegg, many under 390 and most will run a 1125 MHz clock without a problem.

I recommend Heatkiller waterblocks and Bitspower SLi/Crossfire adapters.(crystal link)

That sucks! What's your plan now, back to the drawing board?

Yup new plan/not giving up, might go with new cards myself and now that i can pick the block it's heatkiller all day for me unless a deal pop up again or i can build some heat to have seller fell safe to big order on here with me.

That's what i wanted to the the whole time "Heatkiller waterblocks and Bitspower (crystal link)" it would work great and look sick and I'm using crystal link on this build already:D

I live in socal 15 min away from Newegg and close to Frys and Micro center
so getting part is not to hard for me just want to help out other member on where with resell
I come for the car forums where two meet/paypal to sell high end parts (1000$ +) to each other.
With little to no feedback so i just do get it yet.

But I will be working on my heatware and trying to get my other forum feedback to link to it.
It looks like a god thing to have on any forum to back up are a good seller/buyer i just fell dumb because I have spent over 15,000 on forums and when i sold on Ebay I was a power seller with over 25,000 positive feedback there and sold that business to my family at the age of 24 Check out my family company (12 family member and 8 of my friends form high school I got jobs for) Ebay feedback http://myworld.ebay.com/accessoryexport/
Now that's feedback

Just make sure you order a reference HD7970/HD7950 PCB flavor and you will be golden.

My Sapphire HD7950 uses a reference HD7970 PCB and that is the only reason I can fit any reference HD7970 water block on it.

Not all HD7950s have reference HD7970 PCB. Make sure the card fits the block before ordering to avoid fitting problems.

Hello, I am looking to water cool my two 7970's in crossfire as well, but am new to water cooling. What else would I need besides two of these?:
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/1...Block_15020.html?tl=c309s1590b180&id=A2HQyGSW

Tubing, fans, radiator, etc?

Your case isn't particularly watercooling friendly, so I might start there.

Then you will need radiator, pump, tubing, fittings, fans, and reservoir/T-line for a basic GPU only system. If you want to add the CPU (I recommend you do), add a CPU block. T-lines can be added for filling and draining if you choose to include those. Fan controller if you wish to control the fan speed. LEDs or cold cathode tubes if you want to light up your system.

Great list, thanks!

What about these ARCTIC COOLING Accelero Hybrid all-in one kits? Would they be easier for a first timer?

Yeah with that case get out the dremel and hope for the best.
Do your own loop it will be better in the end.
You need to do more research and look into to water cooling more (read more on the forums and look at build logs to help) its not a quick thing to put together, more of a hobby of its own.
Ask your self are you ready to step up your game. Time/Money
