Can't afford another 7970, but thinking about grabbing a 7950 to go with my 7970. I have one 120hz 1080p monitor atm and get around 65 - 70fps average in BF3. I'd like to get 120fps for my monitor, think it's worth grabbing the 7950 to pair with the 7970?

I also will be watercooling in the next few months so I'd like to do an SLI set up with that, but still can't afford the 7970 tbh.

With the current price of the 7950, and the fact you'll be watercooling soon, I'd say it's not worth grabbing a 7950. Wait until you can afford the 7970, and maybe put off watercooling for a little longer.

I say water cool your 7970 first, and then grab another 7970. That's what I'm doing; I can't stand the noise of this card.

That's why I will wait for a non reference card with quieter fans. Gigabyte usually comes out with an ATI card that uses much quieter fans.

ASUS has a new one coming out that I saw at the HardOCP event a couple weeks ago. Damned quiet. Runs very cool even running Furmark.
