I don't know what the problem is, but if I use my HDTV as my monitor for games, then set the resolution to 1920x1080, the computer just freezes, and alt+ctrl+del doesn't do anything, alt-tab does nothing, etc. so I must hold the power button down to hard reboot.

It seems to only do this when hooked to the HDTV.

I'm using the 1009 BIOS for my mobo, the newest DirectX files, and the 91.33 drivers. :) It has done this in COD2 a few times and also in other games.

Try updating to 1205

Damn, sucks because I have the same card and want to hook it up to my hdtv also, by the way, what resolution is 1920x1080...1080i??? or 1080p???

the resolution you two are picking is too high

I think its 1080i, I tried the same thing and I got scanning issues or someting it was like certain lines of the screen were being garbled.

It's nothing w/ the TV.

1920x1080i and 1920x1080p is the SAME resolution as far as your PC is concerned 1080i just means it refreshes at 37hz (yeah, really, lol) and 1080p means it refreshes at 60hz, which is why LCDs are basically always 1080p if they support such resolution.

try making ur TV the primary display and a lower rez maybe, GTR2 on my sammy is hot

Actually you are incorrect. 1080i can be ran as low as 852x480 resolution for older sets. It is all about the timings that dictate what the final output is (ie 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p). You have to take a look at the device you are plugging in via the DVI slot and see the maximum resolution. Most new LCD's are 1366x768 native monitors. I don't know what the value of 1080p is since there is no video feed on the airwaves (sat, cable and over the air) that will give you 1080p.

1080i is 1920x1080, just at a lower hertz level. Go talk to a person who works on HDTVs, or go ask at the several HDTV forums.

800x600 or whatever resolution isn't 1080i.

Your LCD isnt going to be able to support that 1920x1080 resoloution, you have to find the native res. of you tv then set it to that

It isn't an LCD

I'm not a noob, I have used this HDTV with my 7800gtx, two 7900gtx, and now I'm trying ot use it w/ my 7950gx2. ;)

Premium and Deluxe mobos are different with BIOS numbers. Premium suggested BIOS is like 1100 (or something around there), but Asus no longer has it on their website, though I just saw it a few weeks ago.

isnt there a setting on nvidia control panel you have to enable ?

Send a email to Nvidia , they will point you to the right direction.
