So, I'm looking at getting shiny new 7950. I've sold 1 of my 2 6850s, so I'm running off a single one for now until I make the new purchase. The question I had though was, I'm currently running 3x1920x1080 23" displays. I'm currently using 2xDVI and a DP-DVI adapter since I don't have any DP displays. Since the 7950s only seem to come with mini-DP-DP adapters, and no Mini-DP-DVI/HDMI like the 7970s do, does anyone know if I can string the adapters together? Anyone ever tried using the mini-DP to DP and then plugging a DP to DVI into it? If I have to spend another $30 on a new adapter, I'll have to re-evaluate whether I can swing a 7970 and NOT have to buy the adapter. I'm looking to run eyefinity on a single card :)

You can string them, mini-DP to DP isn't an electrical conversion, just a physical rearrangement of the pins.

Also, some of the 7950's come with a mini-DP to DVI adapter. The Asus DC2 I had for about 18 hours came with a mini-DP to DVI adapter. Unfortunately the card only came with 1 working mini-DP port, so I had to RMA it :(
