Anyone go from a 7950 to a gtx770 or higher or anyone think it's worth it? Or should I wait and see what the 8000 series brings.

7950 to gtx770

Moving from an HD 7950 to a GTX 770 makes pretty much no sense, as the 770 is a slightly upgraded GTX 680. Switching to a GTX 780 would be an actual worth while upgrade, except that it's basically double the price.
I'd wait until we actually have firm release dates for the Radeon camp. Also, the HD 8000 series (Sea Islands) still appears to be rebranded 7000 series for OEM use primarily (Perhaps with minor upgrades?) and may not even be available for retail purchase.
The rumours are still pointing to a possible HD 9000 series (Volcanic Islands) release in 2013Q3 or Q4 (I'd say Q4 is more likely for actual release). We may not have to wait until 2014 for Volcanic Islands.

Seeing as the 770 is only 10% faster than the 680 and the 680 is only 10% faster than the 7950, it isn't worth it at all. Wait for the next gen and enjoy your 7950 in the meantime.
