I just picked up a used 7950 to do some Milkyway@home crunching and I cut the voltage down to reduce the heat in my office, but it keeps returning to default voltage at random intervals.

Any ideas on how to get the voltage to stick?

I'm currently using Afterburner to control the settings for the card and I'm on latest Crimson drivers. This is on an MSI X99S Sli Plus with 16gb RAM and running a 14c/28t E5-2683v3

Dump the card's bios .. change the voltages with a bios editor and re-flash the card with the new bios.

I can do that. I was just hoping there was some sort of software fix rather than a firmware fix.
