Is this card officially obsolete now? No XP drivers since last november. Is this just a cheap marketing ploy to get more 8800 sales?

Well Gurgle thier just to busy with Vista right now i Geuss... Ive owned and tested evry Nvcard fromXF5200 to present.... Take a look at my thread below and Follow the Nvidia Settings tweaks ive posted Should ease your pain a lil bit ...These settings really work!! use latest Driver ,ok let me know what ya think This applies to All video resolutions !
