7900GT Problem

my friend has a 7900GT and he has a few problems.

screen flickers
line things that appear from models in games (pictured below)
sometimes the game will have portions of textures missing
and random colored dots appearing then disappearing in games and on desktop.

here is an example of the line things:

as you can see there are strange lines coming out of the revolver and the pile of dead bodies to the right of the revolver.

he has tried new drivers, cleaning the card, the card doesn't get to hot.
does anybody know what is wrong with it?

Looks/sounds like what I just went through with both of my 7900GTs. I was seeing a lot of those texture spikes and dots. It only gets worse. I'd tell him to RMA the card. I RMA'd both of mine and eVGA hooked me up with 2 8800GTSs.
