7870 high temps

Just switched out my 5970 for a pair of 7870's
My 5970 was on water and ran ice cold , these 7870's however are still on stock air cooling and run hot.

Idle is decent 30c, but playing FC3 today I saw 95c. That's a tad much for 24/7 use is it not?
I run the MIV GeneZ so slot spacing sucks big time.
Would it be better to grab some waterblocks or just buy a new board with better spacing so the cards can breath?

Cards run great other than the heat...if 95c is ok and wont kill the cards then maybe air will do ..... Anyone reseat the stock cooler and get better temps?

That's not good actually. What kind of case do you have? Both cards run at the same temps?
 
You're gonna cook your cards dead with those temps.... Get some air in there. Mobo with some space between PCI-e's would help. Are you getting exactly the same temp readings on both cars when loaded?
 
Yep 95 seems a tad high for just regular gaming.
Do you have good air circulation in your case?
 
Awfully high. You're cards won't die anytime soon they may degrade faster then normal though. I would suggest you post a pic of your airflow or maybe just go over it yourself and see where the problem is with your airflow that's keeping those cards hot.

Try using MSI Afterburner to keep your eye on the GPU fan/s to see that they're operating normal too.
