I just swapped out some components on my PC, and picked up a second radeon 7870 for crossfire. however, when running in crossfire, I am getting a screen flicker (happens in every game I've tried. BF3, Arma 3, Splinter Cell Conviction, 3dmark, etc)

Here is video of it:

I've tried with the 13.4 and 13.6 beta drivers. Disabling crossfirex solves the issue.

Specs:

Phenom II X6 1090T
Asrock 990FX Extreme3
2xSapphire 7870OC
16gb ram
coolmax 700 watt psu
Win7 ultimate 64bit

Any thoughts

My first thought, and this is silly, but did you try switching the crossfire connection to the other tabs? Do you have an extra connector to check if that might be the issue, too?

Just good to eliminate that sort of thing. It could honestly be a lot of issues. PCIe slot, PSU... who knows...

My 7870s only have 1 tab.

I swapped the cards around, and rotated the crossfire connector 180 degrees, and it is now working flawlessly.

I've been having the same issue with my 6950's that I bios modded to 6970's for 2years now. Mine's only been a small flickering horizontal lines across the screen that I've lived with since then.

I tried the rotate the crossfire bridge 180 degrees and it works flawlessly.

Seriously if it's that simple stupid, why the hell isn't there a direction or (card1/card2) printed on the damn thing.

I originally had it so that when read it said Crossfire and it wasn't upside down.
