Question that searching hasnt turned up very well..

7820x ... whats the most accurate temp reading... nuvoton or intel reported temp of the cpu package?

I have this very nice chip on a custom loop now and full load at stock .. nuvoton is reporting like 50 to 54c and the intel cpu is reporting 70??

Im using hw info. I like the nuvoton numbers better but whats more accurate?

Board is x299 prime deluxe

intel cpu is readings from the core, anything nuvoton is motherboard sourced readings from sensors on the board. always go by the intel cpu readings.

nuvoton should be reporting the socket temperature and the other the CPU package temperature (Tcase) watch out with this later one as some monitoring apps report the CPU temp labeled as package with Core #0 Temps.
