Will I would hope the MSRP is a lot cheaper, but the price gouging websites probablly won't touch MSRP for a while.

No, actually I know a guy who has experience with the card so I already knew it was going tob e expensive. I just didn't know how much.

Well I know a guy whos brother is screwing the sister of the cousin of the brother of a guy who is banging a administrator in an office across the street from a building thats next to a gas station thats half mile from Nvidia head quarters and he says MSRP is $599 :D

Where can I get that PC for that price! :eek: My current rig can't even play UT2k4 smoothly with 4xAA 16xAF @ 1920x1200... let alone Far Cry or Doom 3 at those settings... :(

Current 3DMark05 of the card is 7703. I can run 7714 on an X800XT/PE. So I am actually a tad faster. No way in hell I would spend $800 for a card that performs no better then the one I have.

Oh, I suspected you were basing that statement on the ONE rumoured score we have in ONE non-gaming benchmark at ONE low resolution. Just wanted to confirm that you did your research! :rolleyes:

Please stop unloading your BS about this card and how it compares to your own completely modded XT PE. Fact is, you paid hundreds of dollars to get your card modded up the arse by ViperJohn in addition to the cost of the card itself. And that wasn't without its share of difficulty, IIRC.

You likely paid more than the 7800GTX will MSRP for to get those extra 10 3DMark points... hooray for you.

Gimme a break man dont act ignorant. You're using a 800dollar phase change CPU OC and a few hundred dollar mods on a GPU to give you a score that also contains MASSIVE image corruption. You dont run the computer at those speeds you use for benchmarking.

The GTX is doing that stock on problably an FX55 or 4000+. What makes you think you can even compare?

really every high end thats been released was always over priced. wait patiently and it will decrease to its MSRP


for example any of you noobs remember X800xl pricing @ newegg.com when it was released ?
