hey all, any ideas on hsf, that will fit a 7800gtx, my pupy will run up to the 80's C when under full load ( got a little better since the temp droped localy quite a bit over the last 2 weeks ) and idle i get about 50c, my friend got a hsf for it ( was made for another card but fit fine ? ) and he droped to the mid 30s idle and not sure on his load temps, any ways going to go out to search in 4-8 hours, hope i get a couple of responses back soon. thanks then

ya i looked at the zalaman one you said and it is deffintly less robust then his, will look in to it

one more question is will having the ram useing only heat sinks and not having the intregrated hsf covering it all, will the ram run hotter then normaly

well imo with the cheapo heatsinks that came with the zalman, there should not be a temp difference in the ramsinks

but the ram can run bare without a problem, i 've seen many ppl with waterblocks on their GTX core and NO heatsinks of ram and they run fine
