quick question, i'm currently running 2 xfx 7800 gtx 256mb. would it be better to trade em in for 2 x 7900 gt 256mb or no? i know 2 x 7900 gtx 512mb would be better, but if i can get more performance for less cost that will hold me over til the 8000 series, i'd be happy. thanks in advance.

From what I hear and see in the reviews. The 7900GT is basically a 7800GTX but a tab bit faster. You can do it, but your performance increases might be by a couple frames. Or less you can get more money for the 2 cards and still have money leftover after buying the 7900GT's, I wouldnt waste your money. Just my two cents.

it wouldn't really be worth it.
what did you pay for the 7800gtx's? you know the 7900gtx's are only about $500 a piece, right? Don't both upping from the 7800gtx to the 7900gt, 2 or 3 frames in a game isn't worth the shipping charges.

if your going to sell your GTX's your not going to get alot, seeing that the 7900GT's are faster than the 7800GTX's and the 7900GT's being so cheap in price, i've seen some 7800GTX's go for $250

I wouldn't personally do it, since you already have them. You won't get what they're worth selling them used, and the performance for the amount that you'd have to fork out to make up for it wouldn't be worth it to me.

Instead enjoy your kickass video setup.
