Have a 5 month old EVGA 7800 GTX, Never OCed, dont game that much so I moved to a passive solution and have no use for it. Card only, no box or cables.

d'oh should've read the whole thread, didn't see "sold" in the original thread and just sent this to my friend who is in the market for a better card
 
Did you verify this guy's heat before sending? Paypal and heat e-mails don't match and there are no Heat forum user aliases set up.
 
He pm'd me early this morning. He's supposed to pm me the shipping info tonight, sometime, although it's night time now, but no pm. Can't send him anymore pm's, the system says his inbox is full. I'm actually starting to get worried on this one.

Well, his name and address are right in the pictures he posted. Worse case, I make some phone calls to some friends in Cali. I would like to think that he will get me the tracking info tonight, though, and that I'm worrying for no reason. So far, though...

you should try opening a claim with paypal. if he doesnt do anything within 72 hours then up the claim and paypal reviews it and you should get your money back :)

This one looked fishy from the get go if you checked the refs he gave you.....
 
Update:

He sent me a tracking number Friday, but as of this morning, it's still being listed as "billing info received". I called UPS and they said they have not received the package for shipment yet. I've got a close friend that lives within a few mile of this guy in Cali, so if it doesn't get shipped out today, he'll be getting a visit.
 
you'll be receiving only piece of paper with tracking just like how i got scammed for the same card. my credit card company was willing to cover the $300 for free. well because i charge so much :p Be careful!
 
I was wondering why when I PM'd him only minutes after he started the thread requesting that he send first I never heard a word back.... Guess I should be glad I passed this one over.
 
Wait, did youget scammed by this guy for that same card????? If so, let me know.
 
I'm on the phone with Bank of America as I type this (on hold). Hopefully they can help me out...
 
I dont know about this guy he was flawless sending me my ram, dont know i hope you get it resolved keep us updated, i have heard several stories about this guy, people need to start leaving him negative feedback.
 
Well, Bank of America can't do anything, so I have filed a dispute with Paypal.. Hopefully he gets it and resolves the issue. I would really like to think it's just him not sending the card out on time, or he got busy and didn't get the card to UPS, but it really feels like I'm getting screwed here. It sucks because I really needed to get a video card by the end of this week.
 
Not sure if this post should be moved or if you should start another thread in the Troll thread (if you haven't already.) Hope this gets resolved and let us know what the end result was incase any of us need to be weary of dealing with this user.
 
He just pm'd me and said not to threaten him, that UPS doesn't update their website on weekends. I just checked it at 1:42pm and no update, still no package received for shipping. Hopefully this will all turn out alright. I'll update when I know...
 
I would of thought they would have updated it by now on their webpage, is this west coast though? I would give it till tonight and somethign should change by then. Or even call UPS

I have dealt with UPS many times before.
The person you are dealing with is correct, UPS does not update their website on the weekend. The reason for this is bc UPS doesnt deliver on weekends (not like FedEx).
Also, their tracking website is horrible. I remember I would track things from newegg and it would never get updated. The only time it would get updated would be the day it was going to come to my house. If you are really worried about it just call them up and see where it was last seen (if at all).

Also as a side not, both of you (the dealer and buyer) seemed (from what I have read) to handle the situation incorrectly. The dealer def. should of responded to you, but then again you paniced rather quickly and thought of the worst case scenario. You went to a conclusion without sufficient evidence. You both were very un-professional. I would feel bad for whoever had to deal with you in the future with a purchase. Remember try to be professional all the time.....It goes a long way. Just my 2 cents (take it any way u want).

Is it still at "Billing info received"? If it is then UPS does not have the package. Once UPS comes for the package they scan the box which will show it is going to a destination to be sorted and delivered. UPS and Fedex's tracking system will update no matter what day it is as long as the package is being scanned. It is true that it will not be "updated" on the weekend becuase there is no sorting (only a limited package sort) for packages on saturday and sunday. Hope for the best but I can tell you from experience working at FedEx that once we scan a box it will update the website tracking even if it is the weekend. I would follow the OP's pm and wait a few days though.
