many, many times slower than todays midrange cards. I have a 7900 GTX that I just put in my rig and ran 3dmark06, it scored 6600. A 5770 scores over 18K in the same rig. During the benchmark, I look at the openning scene fps. The 7900 GTX maxes around 38fps. The 5770 about 110 fps. My 5850 hits 150fps easily. I had a 5870, it hit 150s also, but went over 25K, where the 5850 goes just over 24K. I sold the 5870, wasnt worth the extra $$$ to me. There will be a bigger difference on new games with AA turned on, and detail settings cranked up

anything but MMO's (exception Eve, stargate worlds if it ever comes out). Lately a lot of COD4, L4D, WC3 and C&C4 beta.

Can you wait about a month or two when fermi comes out to see if the prices on cards drops?
