7800gtx & 6600gt

If i have a 7800GTX in my first PCIe slot, can i put a 6600GT in the 2nd slot so I can have 3-4 monitors out? Or do they have to be the same card? Its obviously not going to be SLI, but just another PCIe to have more monitors out. Is that possible?

im pretty sure that will not work... If you dont have SLI enabled you can only utilize one PCI-e 16x slot at a time

nah, i think it only works for regular pci slots.
