I currently have a sparkle 7800gt and I want was thinking about SLI'ing it, would i need to get another sparkle one or could I get any brand?

Also I have a Smart Power 2 450 PSU, I only have 1 hard drive and a dvd burner, no pci cards, so Im thinking i should be able to get away with SLI on this psu?

yeah, you should consider a better psu 1st.. you could be lookin at trouble with only 450 watts.. maybe.. it's a crap shoot. you might get away with it, becaus you have a minimal load on that psu right now, but it would be a major bummer to get the new card and have it cause random resets and such.. there are decent sli capable psu's to be had for way under 100 bones.. like this one seems pretty good.. two 18+ amp 12v rails. just an example.

Anyways.. something else to consider, SLI will improve your gaming experience, but really only at high(er) resolutions, like 1280x or 1600x with AA and AF on, or HDR, etc.. that's were SLI really shines.. so if you're looking to drastically improve your FPS while playing games at 1024x then you might be dissappointed a bit. anyways..
