i have a xfx 7800gt and i was wondering what it should temp at under full load for extender periods of time. right now stock it hits 74 under full load. how hot can it go??
That load temp is fine. When I tried "passive" cooling on my 7800GT with a VF700 I hit the upper 90s until I started seeing artifacts on the screen. I think if you stay in the 80s you won't have problems. Keep in mind that the longer you expose your vid card to high temps the shorter its life span will be.
