Hey all, quick question:

I'm about to buy a 7800... Is there a big difference between the Leadtek or BFG 7800... I've heard so much good stuff about the BFG, but the only place that sells cards for quite cheap has...

MSI, ASUS, eVGA.

Does anyone know what's on the horizon for ATI in terms of fighting the 7800, or what other flavours of the 7800 are coming, and if it's worth holding off like two weeks?
 
I have been hearing good things about this D and J place that one of our fellow forumites runs. He usually has the BFG in for a decent price.

What are the main diffs bewteen the suffix on the cards... I've seen/heard 7800 GT, GTX, etc. etc. Can anyone break it down?

Also... Pure speculation here... Do you think a comp with 3200 64 Venice, 1GBRAM, 7800 be able to run the new Morrowind as good, or better than the Xbox360?
 
Can you order from Dell?

The BFG has a slight overclock plus a lifetime warranty.

Of course you could always overclock one of the other cards yourself.
 
I'm doubting anything from ATI within the next two weeks...there are speculations about a possible 7800ultra, but just speculation I believe. The 7800gtx is the top card out there, and I reckon it'll still be the top performing card in two weeks.
 
Besides different coolers, default clock speed and warranty, all 7800GTX are pretty much the same. I would worry too much about which ones to get.
 
BFG is alright.. Back when my card was flipping out on me (6800GT) I called their tech support..Nothin but idiots. If you have a faulty card and call them expect their answer to be "Uhhmm...mm..It may be your PSU" and then that's it.

The cons of them are that theyre OC'd out of the box and their cards are under lifetime warranty with that OC.
