Getting some artifacts, although I noticed they seem to be gone when I force Vertical Sync (what does vert sync do anyways?)

I've also noticed that the temperatures are in the 75c. is this normal for 7800 SLI?

I've havent noticed any artifacts whatsoever in 3dMark2005n or 2003.

75c underload or just out of a game = normal.

75c idle is a little high my two cards run about 65c

I'm sorry my bad. 75 running games like DOOM3 and Splinter Cell Chaos Theory.

Idle runs at 32c.

Good temps actually....nothing wrong with those AT ALL....

one frame per screen refresh, gets rid of tearing when the screen is updated in the middle of a monitor refresh ;)

Is there a reason why I get artifacts and stuff in games but not in 3DMark2005??

Meh. You could always try underclocking your cards. Lower 3Dmarks scores but no real loss in performance at that level.

Are you using the NVIDIA built-in refresh rate locking control panel? That thing caused artifacting for me. It isn't compatible with SLI, which is why they made it invisible in the last few driver releases (have to enable it in registry).
