The way I look at it, is you guys were lucky they decided to make the 6xxx series into AGP too. That was your transition period.
Here is my situation...
I can either build a system with AGP, or PCI-E. I have a friend who will sell me his AGP x800 XT PE for 100$. OR, I could buy a PCI-E x800 PRO for about 250$. Doesnt make sense for me to upgrade to PCI-E now, especially since I could have a better card for cheaper, and save the leftover money for later. Keep in mind the AGP card I would have wouldnt be bleeding edge, but it would still last atleast a year.
