Hello everyone, English is not my native language, so I apologize in advance.
So recently i build my first pc. And for gpu I chose 780 Ti from Msi. And the problem is with idle and gaming temps. In idle it is 40c and gaming 70-75. Problem is the fans in idle are up to 35% and when gaming up to 60. I tried with msi afterburner to control fan speed but it resets in oc mode(msi gaming app) it works fine with silent and gaming mode. So any insight would be appreciated. LIke what temps are normal in idle and gaming for that particular gpu. Also my pc case is full tower fractal define r2 xl and cable management for airflow ir very tidy. Thanks in advance.
And on non related note. I have 21.5 inch 1080p monitor. And for older games what is better native resolution with some type of aa or downsampling up to 3200x1800? I also read about input lag in higher resolutions. What you guys would recommend for best image quality.

If this is the MSI model you have, then those temperatures are operating at expected levels. [H] tests hardware without a case, so their test results will typically be lower than those running a closed airflow case. Target operating temperature under load for NVIDIA cards is 80c, so your card is running well within spec.

So I was worried for no reason?:D Thank you guys. It still bugs me that I cant set up fan control in oc mode. Oh well.

Like other have said your temps are fine.
I'm not sure what you gain with the MSI gaming app but I don't think you need it.
If you are using it to overclock you card you should do that with afterburner as well and you'll be able to use the "manual/software fan control".

For monitor I really love my 2560*1440 Qnix display (~$300 Korean lcd from ebay), the input lag is very minimal on those since they only have one input (dual dvi) and no scaler.
And with a 780Ti you'd still be able to max mostly everything. I'd never even consider going to a lower res monitor (even if it would allow more AA) and I cant wait for 4k monitor to become more affordable (along with the gpu power that is needed to go with along with it)
