How's it going, this computer will be used for streaming and gaming, if I go with the 7700 I could get a 1080 card but with the 6800 it will be a 1070. Any idea what would be better? Thanks a lot.

I would say the 7700 with the 1080 would be good for those needs. Now the extra cores might come in handy if you use the machine for any VM's or any software that can take advantage of it.

Just worried that using it for streaming on twitch while gaming will give me issues, not sure what to do.

I highly doubt it will. I am not an expect on the streaming part but I am not sure those extra cores will make a difference or not. Also what resolution will you be playing at?

1080p mostly. From what I understand streaming is like encoding or something like that.

Well then I would say the 1070 regardless. The only issue with the 6800k is that they will be changing sockets by years end, if that is not an issue then the 6800k is good.

From what I understand the 6800k can be upgraded to extreme eventually if you need to, but the 7700k is already the top processor. Would that also make sense to go with a 6800k, can always upgrade it when the prices will be lower eventually.
