i just installed these drivers that came with the bf2 demo and ran some benchmarks. i was previously on 71.89.
aquamark up from 68000-78000
3dmark05 up from 8800-9200
this must be the biggest driver performance jump for some time. i think these drivers will probably ship with the new 7 series cards.

Well the 77.13's had a good boost for me over the 71.89's and the 77.30's didn't show any additional gains. The next WHQL driver will probably be based on that but I doubt it will be 77.30's. They break video playback for several people, including me.

What codec's do you use?
I have had no probs so far, neither in games or video playback...

Terra - But lousy codecs(and codec-packs) can really mess things up...

77.30 = unstable system

BF2 would stutter and freeze every 30 seconds. I went back to 71.84 and things are stable.

I'm not sure what I have installed but it can't be the codecs - I've been using them since I reinstalled which has been around a year now and through many different driver versions. Others are reporting the same problem and 77.13 works fine so I very much doubt it's the codec at fault.

The funny thing is that the videos show fine in QT but not in WMP.

Try updating windows media player? These 2 files:
WindowsMedia-KB891122-x86-ENU.exe
windowsmedia10-kb888656-x86-global-enu.exe
found on microsoft website got me up to 10.00.00.3923. I don't have any problems with 77.30s... yet.

Codecs get updated to, just like drivers.
Make sure you got the most recent versions of your codecs, just like with drivers.
