just wondering if anybody has heard of any news on a 7600GT or whatever the 6600GT sucessor is

You should really do a search for "7600" or "7600gt" before you make a new thread. I found many threads related to the 7600 series doing a simple search.

Have a nice day :D

Sounds like a pretty badass card.... 16pipe midrange. I just hope its pretty cheap... And see how it matches up to everything eles.

Woah sounds pretty impressive 16pipeline for a just a mid range card, might even be thinking of upgrading my 6600GT to a 7600GT, but they should pump up the clock abit.

yeah i am very interested, only thing i am wondering now is price hopefully maybe around $200-$250

Radeon X800XL goes for $250-275 on Newegg right now, that's 16 pipes on 110nm, which will probably be similar to a 7600GT part. Admittedly, you'll need to tack on some transistors for the newer pipes on a GF7 series card (SM 3.0, etc), so I'd expect this card to be closer $300 on launch, although it should have enough clock speed to make the 6800GT/Ultra pretty well obsolete. 6600GTs (also fabbed on 110nm) routinely get in the 600MHz neighborhood, and the 7800GTXs are pushing 500MHz while using about the same power as a lower clocked 6800 Ultra with 2/3 the pipelines.

I believe that the 7600gt will be the successor to the 6800gt rather than the 6600gt. It definitely should be a very good card for the price.
