7600GT vs 6800

Okay, so this kid I know claims his 6800 that he "got for under $100" will outperform the eVGA 7600GT KO I just ordered. I am almost entirely sure he is wrong, as the 6800GS costs $200 or so. He said it is a GeForce6800xtx or something like that. I googled it and got no results. Is he bullshitting (as usual with him), or is there any truth at all to his statement?
 
He is a bullshitter don't believe him. A 7600gt is equal to aboout a x850xt which is way better than a 6800
 
Good, I am going to shove it in his face and tell him to go have intercourse with himself.

PS: he claims he "blew up" his 6600LE by overclocking the GPU to a GHz. Considering that speeds like that are impossible on his stock air cooling, and that he does not know what I meant when I asked him what the voltage was, I am starting to think he is just a chronic liar. Stupid liars.

Does anyone have benchmarks proving my superiority? I don't mean 3dEPenis, but real average and max gaming/application fps rates or something of the sort. Thanks in advanced.
 
It's not that much of a diffference...

In higher resolutions or AA he might win. If his card is overclocked
 
the 7600gt beats the **** outa the 6800ultra in oblivion or other new games, end of story, o ya btw my 7600gt is awesome
 
Yeah, a 7600GS might be EQUIVALENT to his 6800, but the 7600GT will definitely own it for sure.
 
lol my friend also made the same claim (6800gt is better that 7600gt)

i was sure to set him straight tho ;)
