Is it possible to hook my XBOX 360 into my 7600GT via the VIVO option which would then allow me to play the 360 on my PC?

My thought is that if my son wanted to play the XBOX and I wanted to watch TV he could do so without taking over the television.

Yes, but it will only be standard def. Also, you'll want to make sure the VIVO options are enabled in the control panel - the 7000 series was the last series of Nvidia cards to officially support VIVO, so it's possible support is spotty.

Thanks for the info, I know this is a bit off topic but is it possible to swap the XBOX signal between TV and PC? Both my PC monitor and XBOX have HDMI connections.

Originally I wanted to take full advantage of the "VIVO" option on my card but I am open for other suggestions.

Might be worth it to get a cheap HDMI switch, DVI switch (monoprice.com), and the required cables. That'll let you avoid the potential VIVO support issues and latency it will almost surely introduce, as well as get you a HD signal.

Maybe an HDMI switch like this?

I need to be able to play the XBOX and watch TV at the same time.

I do not have cable so I use the XBOX for Netflix and such / HDMI directly from XBOX into TV.

Now that I'm thinking about it, what good is any of this going to do me if my only form of TV watching at the moment is the XBOX, if I send the signal to the PC, I am dead in the water as the PC will have control of my only source of entertainment.

I need to go back to the drawing board.
