Dailytech has pictures and specs of the upcoming 7600GT.

"NVIDIA's new 6600GT pin compatible component shows its face

Earlier today we reported about NVIDIA's new GeForce 7900GT -- the 90nm die shrink from GeForce 7800GT. As great as high end components are, the largest battles between ATI and NVIDIA will be fought on the mid-range. GeForce 6600GT, NVIDIA's best selling GPU of all time, is getting a little long in the tooth. NVIDIA deserves some well deserved credit for the foresight to keep GeForce 6600GT and 7600GT pin compatible.

Due to the maturity of GeForce 6600GT, many manufacturers have added several features to the PCBs. These features will also appear on GeForce 7600GT. Some manufacturers have told us that boards and final products have been ready to ship for several months but NVIDIA has held off on launch. No details were given as to why. Compared to the new GeForce 7900GT, the reference design for the GeForce 7600GT doesn't seem to support the same audio 4-pin leads.

Quick specifications for GeForce 7600GT from NVIDIA documents:

* PCIe native
* 560MHz core frequency
* 128-bit memory interface
* 20.2GB/sec. memory bandwidth
* 7B pixels/sec. fill rate
* 730M vertices/sec.
* 12 pixels per cycle
* Built in dual-link DVI support for 2560x1600 resolution

More to come."

The specs imply 12 pixel pipelines ("7B pixels/sec. fill rate"), 5 (or 6, depending on which clock domain it uses) vertex shaders and 12 ROPs ("12 pixels per cycle").

Amazing if true. I'd have guessed it would have gone with 12 beefy pipelines and 6 ROPs.

What is that little 2 pin connector near the SLI connector?
A jumper. :p Who knows what it's for.

lol whens the last time i ever had to use a jumper, i almost forgot about them

I like jumpers.. sometimes it's good to know software is not going to reset something for you. :eek:

Any estimations or confirmations on how this thing performs?

Like a stock 6800GT, at least I have seen early 3dmark benchmarks. 03: 11700 05: 5600

So a re-tooled 6800gs maybe?

Yes thats possible since the GS has 12/5 pipe config as well. Die-shrinked GS that got the 7 series treatment. One thing should be noted, I orginally read that the 7600 was suppose to get 500/1000 clocks, but the "leaked" scores showed a 560/1400 clock in Nibitor for the G73/7600.

Do you know of a stock 6800GT that can pull 5600 in 3Dm05?!?

I was estimating, I´m not a 3dmark expert. My (non-stock) 6800nu does 5k and I have a lousy CPU, so yes I thought a GT could get 600 points more. So what do you think, which stock card scores 5600? 6800Ultra? If so, even better for the 7600GT. :)

My pci-e version of the 6800nu (evga) WITH its highest possible OC got 4443 or so in 3dmark05. The stock score was pitiful like 3800 or so... I curious as to how (with a lousy cpu) you got 5k...

I unlocked it to 16/6 and ran it with an OC of 390/900 (stock voltage). My lowest stock score was 3300 with the 66.93 drivers.

Isnt the 6800GS already at 90nm?

Edit: Nevermind, the GS is 110nm.

How do you guys think this card will stack up against the X1600XT?
From the rumored specs above? The 7600 should be much faster in simple shader games and also faster in more complex games with AA/AF enabled. But who knows if those 7600 specs are accurate...
