Foolish advice for a system that only needs 650w full bore.

I concur with everyone above. An HX 750 will be just dandy.

Fanless operation at low power loads
Low profile, black modular cables
Continuous power output at 50 Degrees C
80 PLUS Gold Certified efficiency
Multiple GPU ready
Industrial grade components, like 105 Degrees C high quality capacitors

Forgot I even posted this question, life just got super busy. thanks for the help guys. looks like i went overboard on the power supply if all i eneded was around 500

I wouldn't say 750 is crazy overkill. First of all there is often very little cost benefit with going less than 750w. Its such a competitive section of the PSU market that they are often cheaper on deal than 500 or 650 watt equivalents. Also, some overkill is great in case you decide to do that crazy overclocking/sli thing. And finally, you got a high quality unit so thats one less thing to worry about. I have 750 watt in both my gaming computers, and a 500 watt in my non-gaming computer. I know that its plenty of overkill for anything I will do and I bought all of them on great sales. Plus I have no worries about keeping them as I upgrade other components over the years.
