Im sure this has been beat to death at one point ,but can I succesfully run another 8800gtx in sli with my "old" non quad 750 silencer I recived litteraly 1 week before they released the quad version?I only run 1 hard drive +1 optical(see sig.)but there are quite a few fans running at low or medium speeds ( 5 case fans total ) Is someone else trying this succesfully without mods to psu ?

Do I have to buy a new psu, or does PC P&C provide a solution that anyone is aware of?

I was in the same position. PC P&C will rewire yours for $60 just file an RMA on their site. send in your power supply, in about a week you will have it back.
 
Are the new one's on NewEgg safe?

By quad, do you mean the FOUR PCIe 6-pin connectors?

I believe that is what he is going for.

They will pretty much do ANY custom harness for ~$60

Mine cost a little more because I had them install a coulpe of extra lines for 12 SATA Connectors.
This was on thier flagship, but I'm sure they do it for the lower models too.
