Jul 9, 2005 #2 T Talonz 2[H]4U Joined Apr 8, 2002 Messages 3,453 It's fine, it just means that some other program on your hard drive was accessing the hard drive during those dips, and the speed HDTach reports is lower at that instant because the drive is trying to do more then one thing at a time.
