I bought this monitor base on all the reviews here... Out of the box this monitor is horrible, the colors are completely wash out, Windows look terrible.

After some tuning, this monitor is amazing. It's better than my old Hitachi, colors, contrast, response time, case, everything is better.

Sad. Adjust --> Sexy. Go to your display adapter's color settings and modify the color settings. If that isn't enough for you, install the Samsung drivers and do the auto-adjust then modify the monitor's color settings via the OSD if that's not enough. Out of the box colors were mediocre, auto-adjust and they're much much better.

I adjusted that mofo for hrs and just couldent get the colors good, I mean it looked better with some adjustments but still not up to the level I thoght it would be up to.

I think i had brightness at 30 and contrast at 85 I really dont remember

The way I knew my colors were wasked is that if anybody had ever used itunes you know that it has a brushed metalic look, on the 710T you couldent see the burshed metal look it was just grey

Here Ya go If you nhotice the brushed metal it was not there on the 710T

I know its a big file and want people to see it Moderators

Also, make sure you use DVI! I hear Samsung hooks the analogue adapter as the default cable.

710T sucks Compared to my Misubishi 930Sb I am not trying to be mean but It is the truth. I dont wnat people buying this monitor thinking its on par with a CRT becouse it is not and I am just 1 voice agaist many but I am glad some people that bought the monitor are also not happy with it maybe now people will credit what I say now

Just so you know, if you uninstall the samsung drivers and install the default plug and play drivers, you will be able to use higher refresh rates- up to 75hz (though the picture quality is harder to obtain - you have to manually calibrate).

you don't have to uninstall the samsung drivers to obtain 75hz refresh rates. you can obtain the 75hz refresh rate by checking the display all modes check box in the monitor tab of the advance window for the display properties.

or the 710T just really isint that good in the first place

Its not, The quality does not even come close to comparing to my Mitsibishi 930SB crt except text in some cases

Why is it always these people who can't even speak English who have problems with products? Is this just a coincidence, or am I missing something here?

Your punctuation is terrible as well. IMHO, maybe you should improve your own English before making fun of others.
